Eyebrights They are very similar, frequently hybridise and require expert identification to distinguish between. General characteristics: Flowering time: June-September. Annual. Leafy spikes of white / mauve-white / lilac flowers, yellow blotch, purple/black streaks. Leaves usually opposite, more/less oval, deep-toothed, hairy/hairless. Leaf-like bracts.
