Flowering June-August. Biennial / perennial. Probably introduced.

Loose elongated racemes of yellow flowers with the standard, wings and keel more/less equal in length. The fruits are black when ripe, ridged, more/less hairy and usually 2-seeded. Strong erect growth to 1.5m tall

Frequent in parts of County Dublin but an occasional casual elsewhere in Ireland on disturbed ground on roadsides, waste ground, grassland and railway banks. Identified by Paul Green
