Flowering time:April-September. Perennial. Native.

Yellow flowers with 5 rounded petals. Leaves slightly hairy, pinnate, with a large terminal lobe and smaller lateral lobes. Height: 25-60 cm

Prefers free-draining, less acidic soils. Common throughout Ireland in woods and hedgebanks. Also found as a common weed near habitation.

Geum x intermedium is the hybrid with Water Avens
