Flowering: June-August. Perennial. Introduced.

Large white flowers with yellow-centres, often double-petalled, and 6-10cm wide. The basal and stem-leaves are elliptic-oblong, narrowing to the base, upper stem-leaves entire or shallow-toothed. Stems erect or sprawling. Fully fertile, also spreads rapidly vegetatively.

An occasional garden escape on roadsides and waste ground.
