Flowering time: May-August. Perennial.

Large, long-stalked flowers, yellow or violet-blue.
Low creeping growth habit. Irish dune-growing plants have some
similarities with Sand Pansy (V.tricolor ssp. curtsii)

Habitat: Mountain grassland, moors on less acidic soils.
Coastal dunes in W Ireland. Native.

Similar: Sand Pansy (Viola tricolor ssp.curtsii )
Long-stalked yellow flowers, smaller and more frequent than above.
Tufted, perennial. Dunes, dry grassland. Native.
