Umbels of small white flowers with 5-petals and very short styles are followed by very slightly ridged oval fruit. The basal leaves are once-pinnate with toothed oval leaflets,the stem leaves twice pinnate with very narrow leaflets. Slender erect, solid stems. Height 30-100cm

Dry grassland, prefers calcareous ground but also found on acidic sands. Identification confirmed by Paul Green
