Flowering time: April-October. Annual or biennial. Native.

Small pale yellow flowers in long racemes, the fruits long, narrow and pressed close to stem. Less than 18mm. Young fruit hairless, hairy when ripe. Basal leaves are pinnately lobed, irregularly large-toothed with a broad terminal lobe. Stem leaves similar with clasping, arrow-shaped bases. Tough stems. Height to 80cm

Very common on roadsides, waste ground and hedgebanks.
