Flowering June - July. Annual. Introduced.

Similar to Cornsalad, V. locusta but a taller, more erect plant. The pear-shaped fruits are not inflated, flat on one side, 2mm long x 1mm wide. Calyx with persistent teeth, one distinctly longer tooth.

Very rare and decreasing with a few remaining sites on arable land mainly in central and south-east Ireland.
