Flowering June - July. Annual. Native.

Oval, unstalked flowerheads with pinkish flowers with a downy, inflated, red-ribbed calyx, the teeth erect when fruiting. Leaflets are heart-shaped and the lateral veins are not curved. Stems spreading. Whole plant softly downy-hairy.

Rare in Ireland, mainly found on rocky ground and dry grasslands near the south-east and east Irish coasts.
