Flowering June - August. Perennial. Native.

Very similar to Meadowsweet in appearance but smaller and the flowerheads are more flattened with fewer but larger creamy-white flowers and pink-tinged buds. Leaves with 8-20 pairs of deeply-pinnate, narrow leaflets. Height usually 10-50cm.

Native on rocky calcareous grasslands in the Burren, Co. Clare and in Co. Galway but is also frequently planted in gardens.
