Flowering March - May. Annual. Introduced.

Small white flowers, but the petals are sometimes absent. The sepals are 2-3x longer than petals, hairless or slightly downy, and the seed capsules are slightly longer than the calyx. A slender, yellowish-green plant with branched, sprawling growth.

Occasional on open, well-drained waste and cultivated ground, on dunes and among shingle. Mainly recorded from east and south-east Ireland. Identified by Paul Green, BSBI
