Flowering June - July. Perennial. Garden escape. Introduced.

The shallowly cup-shaped violet-blue flowers have darker veins and notched petals. A slightly hairy, clump-forming plant with lobed basal leaves and flower stalks to 60cm. Hardy.

Prefers well-drained ground. An occasional garden escape or discard on roadsides and waste ground.
