Perennial. Garden escape.

Small lilac-mauve flowers but grown for ornamental foliage and flowers are rarely produced. The semi-evergreen or evergreen, kidney-shaped pale-green leaves have white markings on the scalloped edges. Trailing stems, spreading to 2m. Fully hardy.

A cultivated form of Ground-ivy, G. hederaceae. Widely used in gardens and towns in hanging baskets or as ground cover but a very occasional garden escape or discard.
