Flowering: April-June. Annual. Native.

Tiny mid-blue flowers (to 3mm) with yellow centres. Lower pedicels are shorter than the calyx when fruiting and the flowering section of the stem is longer than the leafy section. Hairy leaves and stems, the lower leaves in a rosette. A low growing, sometimes sprawling plant, height usually 3-15cm but occasionally to 25cm.

Occasional on dry, open, infertile ground, mainly found on dunes in the south-east and east of Ireland. Identification confirmed by Paul Green.
