Flowering: May-October. Annual / short-lived perennial.

Umbels of 1-7 small yellow flowers with 5 petals are followed by hairy seed capsules. Alternate trifoliate leaves are dark red-purple or purplish-green on brittle scrambling or creeping stems that root at the nodes.

An urban weed found on wasteground and paths and in gardens and greenhouses.
