Long-stalked pink-purple flowers that are occasionally paler pink or white. The paired bluish-green, linear-oval leaves have prominent veins and stipules more than half the width of the winged stems. Branched tendrils. Clambering or sprawling growth to 2m+.

Occasionally recorded as a garden escape or discard on waste ground, scrub and embankments.
