Flowering: March-October. Annual. Introduced.

Whorls of pink-purple 2-lipped flowers with few or no hairs inside the corolla. The opposite leaves are irregularly deep-toothed with truncate bases. A slender, branched, more/less erect plant. Height 10-30cm.

Found on dry, fertile soils in gardens, arable land and on waste ground. Less frequent in central and western Ireland.
