Flowering time: May-August. Annual or biennial. Native.

Sky-blue flowers with rounded petals and yellow centres. Seed nutlets are dark brown. A tufted plant, sometimes branched from base. The stems have adpressed leaves and creeping runners are absent. Grows and hybridizes with Water Forget-me-not, M. scorpoides.

Widespread on damp or wet ground in marshes, meadows and by streams and ponds. Found on more calcareous soils than Creeping Forget-me-not, M. secunda
