Flowering time: May-August. Evergreen perennial. Introduced.

Tiny solitary pink flowers are almost hidden among the circular evergreen leaves which are alternate, hairy and untoothed. Mat forming growth habit with stems rooting at the nodes. Slightly frost-sensitive.

Usually found near habitation on damp, shady paths, pavements, walls and in gardens and churchyards. Most frequent in south and south-east Ireland
