Flowering time: April-July. Perennial. Native.

Axillary pale blue-mauve flowers, white centre, deep blue veins. Seed capsule flattened, longer than calyx. Pale green leaves, hairy, stalked, coarse-toothed. Sprawling or ascending stems. Main stem hairy all round. Height: 10-30 cm.

Woods and hedgebanks on base-rich soils. Occasional.

Similar: Germander Speedwell, V. chamaedrys.
Darker blue flowers. Leaves usually stalk-less.
