Flowering time: May - August. Perennial. Native.

Golden yellow flowers, five-petalled, solitary. A double-flowered form (R. repens var. degeneratus.) can occur, photo below right. Basal leaves in 3 divided segments. Stem with rooting runners. Height to 60cm.

Very common and widespread.

Similar: Small-flowered Buttercup, R. parviflorus. Very small flowers with prominent sepals. Rare, on calcareous ground.
