Flowering time: May-September. Perennial. Native.

Short racemes of blue flowers with white centres growing from leaf axils. Opposite, short-stalked oval leaves with blunt teeth on spreading, rooting, reddish stems. A hairless and slightly fleshy plant. Height/spread to 50cm

Common and widespread in damp places. Ponds, streams, wet fields, ditches and roadsides.
