Flowering: May-August. Biennial/perennial. Native.

Small yellow flowers in dense racemes are followed by ascending fruits, the slender style 2-3.5mm. The deep-green shiny leaves are pinnately-lobed with a longer, broader terminal segment. Upper stem leaves are entire, toothed, or lobed to less than halfway to midrib. A hairless plant with branched erect stems and a strong tap-root. Height 30-90cm.

Frequent on damp ground. Roadsides, waste ground, paths, streamsides
