Flowering time: May-August. Perennial. Native.

Small white flowers on erect, stiff flower stem, the stems sometimes reddish in colour. Palmately lobed shiny-green basal leaves, the stem leaves few and small. Height: 20-60 cm.

Frequent throughout Ireland in mixed and deciduous woodland on damp, shady, humus-rich ground.
